Combining IoT, robotics and AI: where is the added value, where are the challenges? | <
A workshop at the European Robotics Forum 2017
Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, March 24 |
The workshop will then proceed with two rounds of short statement presentations from a mixed panel of industrial and research representatives. The first round will feature speakers familiar with IoT and will highlight the potential gains of adding intelligent robotic technologies to IoT. The second round will feature speakers familiar with robotics and will highlight the potential gains of adding IoT to robotics. In both rounds speakers will be asked to mention concrete use cases and industrial requirements. The workshop will continue with a number of parallel round tables where all the participant will discuss the key research questions associated to the integration of IoT and robotics, and what mature AI and cognitive technologies are there to address those questions. The workshop will conclude with a general discussion aimed at planting the seed to define a concrete agenda of next steps toward a tighter integration, at the European level, of research in Robotics and IoT.
The slides of each talk will be available to dowload via the "PDF" links after the workshop. Copyrights are maintained by the respective author(s).
